The, Messerschmitt M 23, (sometimes known as BFW M.23) was a 1920s two-seater sports aircraft designed by Willy Messerschmitt . Some examples won several prestigious races in 1929 and 1930.  A wide variety of engines were fitted, with power ranging from the 28 kW (38 hp) two-cylinder ABC Scorpion engine to the 112 kW (150 hp) seven-cylinder Siemens Sh 14a radial. source wikipedia
