Heinkel He 60

The Heinkel He 60 “Seefalke” was a single-engine, biplane reconnaissance boot seaplane in the early 1930s. Intended for Luftwaffe divisions operating in cooperation with the Kriegsmarine, it was conceived as equipment for battleships in the role of a catapult reconnaissance terminating service. It was always somewhat underpowered because of its weight, which made maneuverability slow and the plane vulnerable to enemy fire., Outgrown by newer models in the early 1940s such as the Hinkel 114 and Arado Ar 196.
