Dornier Do 17

The Dornier Do 17 was a multi-role, twin-engine, high-wing monoplane aircraft. Officially built for the commercial aviation market but also designed for fast military conversion, it was one of the first modern bombers to equip the Luftwaffe, the German Air Force, in the inter-war period and, in its more advanced versions, was intensively used during the course of World War II.The Do 17 was designed in the early 1930s as a Schnellbomber (‘fast bomber’) that was to use its speed to outrun opposing fighter planes.source wikipedia
