Focke-Wulf Ta 283 Strahlrohrjäger

The Focke-Wulf Ta 283, was a German arrow-wing interceptor. The aircraft was equipped with two ramjet engines for flight and a Walter HWK 509 rocket engine for take-off.
It was to reach extraordinary speeds of up to Mach 2. This would have made it one of the fastest fighters of the period, ideal for interception and air superiority tasks. It remained only a design study until the end of the war.
