Messerschmitt Bf 108 Taifun

The Messerschmitt Bf 108 Taifun (English: ‘Typhoon’) is a German single-engine tourist and sports aircraft whose overall performance made it a popular choice for record-breaking flights. In particular, these features included low fuel consumption, good manoeuvrability and excellent take-off and landing characteristics.

The Bf 108A first flew in 1934, followed by the Bf 108B in 1935. The Bf 108B used the substantially larger Argus As 10 air-cooled inverted V8 engine with a displacement of 12.67 litres. source wikipeida
