Dornier Do 18

The twin-engined Dornier Do 18 seaplane was built in the early 1930s for both civil and military use. It featured the typical Dornier characteristics of the time, such as wings mounted on a frame high above the fuselage and two engines arranged one behind the other, each driving a traction and a thrust screw. In addition, patented split fins protruded on either side of the hull, providing stability while swimming and at the same time serving to hold part of the fuel reserve. source wikipeida
