Focke Wulf PTL Flitzer

The Focke-Wulf Flitzer was a jet fighter under development, also called the Entwurf VI. The estimated horizontal speed was not satisfactory and the Flitzer was revised, so jet air intakes were placed in the wing roots. Further improvements included a narrower fuselage and a modified pilot canopy. To improve climb rate, a Walter HWK 109-509 hypergolic liquid rocket was built to provide additional thrust.source wikipedia
